Richard, 5005 does work similar to 3003 because both have very low alloy. To my knowledge 5005 has not been produced in the US in a long time. The rolling mill I work in produced it a long time ago...

5052 will not anneal like 3003. I don't think you are dealing with 3003 either. If it cracks when you bend it past 90 degrees probably 6061. 5052 will bend but will work harden when bent.

6061 is a structural alloy and is not designed to be shaped. You also can't annealed like 3003 and 1100 series. If you heat it and then try to bend it you will crack it.
