Hi Mark, fabrics no good because of the stretch and you would find too flexible diagonally because of the weave. News paper tends to be too delicate so I would go for good old brown masking paper....

I've printed out punch and die to form Fulton Sun shield cover caps for a friend in The Catskills.

The tooling was in PLA 2mm solid fill then 0.2mm steps the punch would last...
