It's always great to see another Aeroplane tragic jump on board. There are a few fellows here who have knocked up a rib or two and banged in the odd rivet. And always happy to help with any queries...

I had a 550 replica a few years ago lots of fun built on a VW floor pan. To the top of the windscreen total height was a metre. Getting in and out was fun and impossible with the soft top...
