Default Tinman Kent White has scheduled a 4-day class in Rock Hill

Kent and I have stayed in touch since the most recent Redneck Roundup, and we, along with Jimmy Matthews have gotten together a nine man class that will be predominantly for the Matthews Construction Company employees to learn about gas welding, soldering, brazing, etc. in an effort to upgrade the employees ability to do maintenance and repair work. In addition I am expecting us to cover gas welding of both aluminum and steel, silver soldering and aluminum panel fabrication and metal finishing. I have just finished my assembly of one of Kents power hammers and along with my existing planishing hammer dies and the new arrival of Bill Trombley's 'plastic' lower dies I am expecting to gain some insight as to the proper use of that piece of equipment as well. We will have two fabricated and two cast iron wheeling machines and we are looking forward to investigating the proper use of both styles of wheeling machines and the judicial choosing of full radius vs anvils with flats, with an emphasis on deriving the correct choice of transition radii for that style of anvil.

It has been hinted that Kent will be offering his long term development of the correct application of Texas hot sauce on Carolina grits covering a number of local Waffle Houses! However, I intend to procure a selection of Red Eye gravy and some Sawmill gravy, and we will just see who knows how to properly eat grits!

Might even wash those grits down with some mountain 'salve'.

Pictures (of the class work) will be posted as obtained. The is a private class and is FULL!
