It sure was a great time. Will goes all out for this event (like he does for everything) so it keeps getting better. This time he even paved the main road and put in a new bridge for us to accommodate the growing crowd! I thought about asking Dan P if he was paving any roads up in MN for his coming meet, but after the ice cream politics figured I better not stir the pot.

There was a lot of discussion about people who didn't or couldn't make it and how much all was missed. We also talked about the metal pursuit and the ever-growing community it has spawned. 20+ yrs ago, it was a big deal to get a relatively small (compared to 2018 versions) xeroxed catalog from someone like Kent White and maybe catch him or another one of the master metal elders on the phone to order an item. Now, you just go to one of these events and it's "normal" to meet these men and learn in person. Walk in and Kent is sitting there gas welding aluminum with a cutting torch (!) is just what's going on.... Thanks for coming and generously sharing Kent. It was great to meet you.

Meeting so many other regular people who make scrap like I do really helps keep it all in perspective. After all the plain fun and educational activities, finishing up the event with an optional bible study session over at Jimmy Matthews was more than fantastic imho. Very, very cool stuff.

Like I've said, Better men make better men. Thanks again Will.
