Poor placement for brake cooling. Low dynamic pressure.
The '66-67 Trans-Am guys ducted from the front spoiler. The intakes were inside the wheel track and the hoses were easier to direct.
Problem I see is no effort to get the cool air to the "inside" of the vented discs so the cooler air could do its work.
