Default Hello from Mike Schweitzer, new member

Hello,
I'm Mike Schweitzer, a professionally trained amateur metal finisher.

I studied Automotive Refinishing at Front Range Community College in the late 1980s under Roy Winterhaulder. I completed all course work for an associate degree but was unable to do an apprenticeship due to a full time job in another field.

Since then, I've restored 13 cars and am happy to say that I have used little to no filler on any of them.

But on my current restoration I'm having all sorts of trouble, mostly due to inexperience with the more severe damage that I'm encountering now that the cars that I'm restoring are older and in rougher shape. Since my mentor is long gone, I'm hoping to be able to get answers to my problems here.

Thank you,
-mike
