Congratulations on MSOTM, Jim. Like Peter and Will said- very, very well deserved and hard-earned.
Very cool.

Assembly and fabrication of parts
The body was placed on the frame and shimmed, the rear fenders were sanded and polished, the exhaust pipe was shortened, brass trim was made for the surround of the trunk and plated, the lower hood sills were formed on the Pullmax, the hood sides were cut and fit and they were rounded half way to match the grill shell, the brass hinges were water-jetted out of brass and bent on the magnetic brake, then were wrapped around new stainless pins, the top panels were shaped with the rubber tire on the E wheel and the top body line was bent on the magnetic brake. All of the hardware for the hood was missing so it had to be fabricated and chrome plated. I will be riveted to the hood and then painted around it. The cam covers, gear covers and other parts were polished and repaired. Andrew Ziec, from Chicago flew into Nashville airport and helped me for 6 days. He laid out the pattern on the cam covers and made a scrapping tool to hand scrape the design. He also helped with assembling the fuel tank. We built a jig to shape the outside skin of the tank since we are building 6 of them and bent a hem in the top. The fitting were fabricated, tinned and riveted in place. The baffles have slide in from the sides and riveted and then the end caps are slide in and a 1/4" flange is formed on the tank skin.
