Damn, I've got to get my priorities rearranged and get back to this car. I love this view!
Between my motorhome (s), those two black and silver things in the other room and a couple more orders that just came in, and some major honeydo projects, I don't know when but soon....soon I tell ya!

just popped in to have a look
Hi kerry I just popped in to have a look around. and see where your up to
with your wondeful car. On another forum the other day an all alloy Buggati clone popped up. I made me think of you. The clone was a coupe. It got me asking where are you up to, I was hoping you were finished.

Very cool car Kerry! Just read through all the pages.... Quite a journey. I hope you are able to get back to this some time. Best of luck!

Have another Dixieland meet! I'll come early and help clean and move. You've helped me many years, and I would be happy to return the favor. Mention that the meet would provide this as a major focus, and others would be sure to help as they did at the Redneck Roundup and the speedster. That is a VERY cool car, and a LOT of work has already been done. I, too, would like to see it drive.

Scratch build Art Deco Roadster
I agree Kerry, nice view, but it needs to be finished and drive able.

As I stated a few days back, I've promised myself I'm going to get back on the roadster this fall. To that end, I got it started which involved going through the carb. She doesn't run great but she ran good enough to let me back her out of the garage and get some photos at a distance.
For those who are new to this saga, it's been a looong journey. I was pretty close a few years ago and decided I did not like the back end. Imo, the center and decklid was just too much butt for my taste. Here is a photo as it was then: I agonized over this for months and finally took the plunge and cut the entire decklid structure out. Since then, there has been slow progress. Here is a similar view today: The difference is striking...at least to me. And a bunch more. Still no decision about running boards or the lack thereof. I am thinking about changing the vents in front of the doors. The straight lines don't fit the look as much as I'd like.

The newer deck lid looks better to me as well. Those side vents are tricky trying to match the design elements without going too far. Have you considered 2-3 small openings?
Glad to see you're back on it. It's to cool not to finish.
