Default gas welding goggles uk

Hello no idea if this is in the right thread so apologies if it isn't. Basically is there anyone selling good quality gas welding goggles/glasses for aluminium that properly eliminate flux flare in the uk. I would love some tm2000 but they are out of my budget especially after postage and taxes. Thanks in advance.

Most decent auto-darkening welding screens have settings for gas welding and brazing. I use a Miller one and it works perfectly.

Rob I too use TM lens which are great, however before that I used the same as David Gardiner which is a visor type made by Honeywell called clearways the visor number is CV85/5W and is sold separately, and which then needs a headband.
I no longer use mine so pm me if you wish to buy it at reasonable price (£20 + postage). I have visor and headband, little used in good condition.

Think I'm going to give these a try unless someone tells me they aren't safe/suitable. I've used the same gas welding goggles at work for the last 10 years or so but they are no longer available.

Hi,

I used cobalt blue lenses before I bought the TM 2000 lenses. The cobalt work ok, remember to add extra light, from an overhead light fixture to help light up the weld area, if needed.

Back in the 70's I used some Colbalt lenses but they left my eyes feeling "dry"

Not so when I used Kent's lenses from TM Tech. Never looked back. They only issued me one set of eyes and the last I looked, the corner "Eye Store" went out of business.

Another maker of gas welding glasses is Philips / Phillips. Don't know if they're still around though

Found these might be a better option. The ones i have at work are a green lense, possibly are honeywell as well.
