about a hundred hours for the pair. if I did it again I could do it in much less time. probably around 80. the extra hours were the costs of learning

Firstly great job, can I ask regarding the welding .. can you explain a little more, its tack welded then planished, then you go bakc and fill in ?

at the very beginning of the learning curve...
this was back when I Mig welded. there are tons of better examples on how to do things right on this site then my attempts! I did tack and planish. tack a few planish a few.. I now tig or gas weld most things like this. moves along much faster and is easier to work with.
