Wow, first time I've seen this thread was today. I must have joined slightly after. When I first saw it I thought it was brand new. At first I thought that wasn't much time to get it done but then I see the first post was way back in May.
Actually I just started a personal project last month that would fit right in with the intermediate challenge (a gas tank for a chopper). I made a foam shape of what I wanted the final object to look like and then applied bondo over the foam. I plan to use that as a guide in forming the sheet metal for a real tank. I wasn't real happy about the way the bondo went on the foam (lots of air bubbles in the bondo) so I kinda set it aside till Spring. Its like ten degrees here and I'm working outside. Also this will be a first project for me. I'd do the berginner thing (and may still) but I need a gas tank so its worth trying to do even if I just end up scrapping everything out and buying something. At least I'll have made the effort and learned a lot in the process. And I'm no quitter anyway. Likely I'd have to scrap four or five tanks before I gave it up. So I'm into it but don't expect much progress before Spring and I don't really care about getting a reward. The tank will be my reward. Have a good one, Jawno |

Buck drawings
I know this is a very old thread, but I have been searching high and low for '32 Ford grill shell dimensions so I can make a buck. No access right now to the real steel deal.
Any direction out there preferably towards existing buck drawings or secondarily towards dimensions would be greatly appreciated.
