Default Jag trans tunnel

Made this for a Jag XK140 (I think...lol). The original was pinch-welded to the firewall but this guy wanted a flange so that it could be bolted in.

Hi Grant that is a good example of something that looks simple but is much more complicated to make than it would seem. With all the angles having to be exactly right and the flanges being shrunk and stretched to create the shape. It looks good. I bet there was a fair amount of time working it out.

Grant, nice looking piece, thanks for posting it. How did the fender come out?

Thanks guys. Yeah David, it did take awhile to get the flanges vertical and shaped the way they needed to be. I think I have about 6 hours in that piece not counting the hour to make the pattern.

Joe the fender is stagnant at the moment. He needed this piece right away so I went ahead and built it before I started packing tools up. Started doing that yesterday though.

Well, it fits my pattern...won't know about the car till Monday. I'm relatively confident though.

Got down to STL today to fit this piece. I was real happy. It was very close. I have to move a bend on the passenger side about a half inch up where the toe-board meets the firewall but that's pretty much it. I'm very satisfied with the outcome considering I didn't have the car here to go off of.

It's a 1956 XK140 Roadster. I checked that today too I know nothing about these Euro-cars!
