Default Amputee Metal Shaper

WWI French amputee working as a metal shaper at a munitions plant in 1918. Note the hammer (in his left hand), and the shaping stake.

"Somebody said that it could'nt be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That maybe it couldn't but we would be one
Who wouldn't say till he tried..."

If you have a will, there are no obstacles. Obstacles are for the cowards. Life has to go on. Great admiration.

Great image that communicates a lot ... not much welfare back then ... good ways to keep good workers employed when otherwise no work was available.
