Default Lead loading class, Sydney Australia

A couple of months ago Kustom Garage together with Melomotive put on a one day class in Sydney covering the fundamentals of Lead Loading. It was a great class with everyone being able to take their hand and have a go at the art of lead loading.

Topics covered were:
Discussions on when and where it is appropriate to use lead when building or restoring a car or project.
How solder bonds to Metals
O.H&S
Equipment
Surface preperation
Tinning
Applying the Lead
Smoothing the Lead
Removal and shaping the lead
Clean up

First we went through the process of lead loading in the flat position and when every one was comfortable, we turned the panels upright to lead load in the Verticle position.

Jamie,
I'm glad to see you sharing your incredible skills with others. If I ever get down to OZ I'd love to take one of your classes. You and Peter really give the Brits a run for their money as to who shapes metal the best!

Ah but Peter learned from us Brits!

Looks like an interesting class. The advantage you have is space!.... and good weather.

Australia has a tradition of skilled panel beaters though.

David
