Hi Will.

There was a wheel on here about a month ago, probably gone by now but the guy posted his mobile No. half way thru the thread. Suggest you either phone Dave or PM him. Think its in Cheltenham

Hope it helps.

I really dont think you need to spend 4K.
The dearest wheel I have known sold in the UK was just under 3K, it was mint, fully equipped, my friends.
None of my business, makes me feel good about my kit, but that 1K left over would ago along way on just about anything!!!
To be honest - smacks of a scam, Offer silly money etc.
Hope Im wrong.

Best of luck.
Twelve years ago I popped in to pick up steel from a local steel stock holder, friend of mine, been numerous times before.
In front of me was an outside shed, unusually the door was slightly ajar.
I thought to myself - that looks like a bit of an English wheel poking out.
It was - Edwards 42"!
I said to my friend "Anything to do with you?".
It was his dads.
Yes he did sell it - £600. I couldnt believe my good fortune.
I hope you are that lucky.
Ive been saving up all my equipment for years.
I have nearly finished my workshop, dedicated to using this equipment.
Once done, I will post the finished item.

Got to say you will be lucky to find a wheel on ebay that is in good nick. Most are rough and have one lower anvil and go for around the 2k mark these days. there was an Edwards or very similar on ebay a couple of days ago had several wheels and looked not to bad. Went for £1827.77 not bad, I paid that for a similar machine a few years back. (sold now) You take a chance buying without checking everything is true. If if has been mistreated it can cost a small fortune to sort out (ask me how I know)

Default finding wheeling machines

Id suggest looking in the older long established panel shops for dusty wheeling machines sitting down the back under a bunch of junk. I have picked up 3 or 4 cast machines this way. panel shops always need extra space and some extra cash. I know of another 6 Edwards wheels in my town that never get used so it must be the same in the country of origin.

Well that's where they all went!. They really are not that common over here. I don't know of any in dusty workshops. The last one I heard of that was found like that was over twenty five years ago and come out of a bus depot.

I bought my Kendrick from a restoration shop that had left it outside for ten years. Can't remember the last time I heard of a wheeling machine sitting in a normally body shop. probably because space is so costly here.

Tony did you buy that wheel? I called the owner and he said it was going to be shipped to New Zealand, figured it was you.
