Default Lightning project

Hi Folks!
I have not been here for a looong time, too much goingon and most shaping projects I been involved in for the last years have I not been aloud to show for anyone.

Now I have a little lightning project in progress and it might be interesting for some of you.
Last time I shared the interest was a bit chill but hopefully new people has signed up and are hungry to see how other shape their stuff.

I will just throw out a photo of some pieces included in the project and like to hear if it could be fun to follow step by step from start to finnish.

let me know so I dont waste your and my time to show stuff with minimal interest.

Here can you see some shaped parts, many more is needed.

The deal is:

A couple of old industrial big light reflctors will be used for a interior and they need a " fixing point" with some nice touches and they will be riveted and patinated.

So, I started with some sketches of the design and made some patterns.

and...

looks interesting? let me know and I will keep it rolling.

Take care all shapers

Per, welcome back. Happy to see your project. This looks interesting - the reverses look very nice, but they are usually a difficult shape to make. How did you create them?

I recently built this 'farm house' table for my Daughter-in-law.

Table.jpg

Now she wants a another couch table with the top made from a 100 year old 1x16"x6' board I have in my shop. The board came from an Uncle's barn. I haven't seen many 1x16's EVER, especially an old one that is not warped, cupped or twisted. The problem is that I don't have any more 150 year old cast iron legs. I got those from Dutch Comstock years ago and had the wood in the rafters of one of my sheds.

What I want to do is make some architectural legs from aluminum in the same style....pretty complex shape. I remember the aluminum 'clawfoots' you posted on FB a few years ago. I'm really interested in any architectural sheet metal you do.

Hell Yeah!

I have seen your table build, very nice!

Freestyle shaping aint my cup of tea, I always try to find a solution to get the outcome same over and over again.

Thinking thru the project first ( in details), I build all in my head acouple of times to see the upcomming issues, choose method and toolings, good patterns and a huge cup of stubborn helps
