Default Pullmax/Trumpf/Eckold/ETC Tooling

Just seen this lot on Ebay, maybe of interest to some-one.

Thanks,
Fab.

Seen it yesterday but think there might be lots of fabricated 'soft' tooling that's pretty much valueless. Having said that, those doming tools are worth £200 a set of anyone's money so I'd expect the whole lot to go North of £500.

We'll have to wait and see.

Do you think those doming tools are genuine pullmax? i can see the remains of a slot cutter possibly one or two genuine bits

Looking at them a bit closer tonight, maybe not. The whole lot looks like it's been rusted up quite a bit then buffed up with a rotary wire brush. Some interesting pieces but possibly not worth my earlier estimate. I'd still bid between £300 to £400 for it and hope to get a few good pieces out of it.

I noticed the tooling on EBay too, and had a really good nosey. I'm pretty sure 95% of the tooling is home made, mild steel, and very job-specific. whilst there's a lot there, I probably would never use most of it, so it would only gather dust. The doming tooling looks very different to my genuine Pullmax pair. I wonder if they are tool steel?

It was up to £368 last time I looked and still has 6 days to go! I hope the person who gets it is happy with what they buy as more than half of it does look like junk.

Am I missing something? It's now at £729 with 8 bidders and two days to go! Is there really that many useful bits amongst the job lot?

Madness. There's going to be a very disappointed buyer at the end of this unless they can see something we can't.

Perhaps the owner is bidding as well..

Wouldn't mind having that lot myself, but yeah, a bit pricey. I did save the pictures for future reference. Never know when you might need to make a set of dies
