Default bullet train, engine cowls...

There is a U-tube video of a Japanese master smith forming the heavy sheet metal noses for the bullet trains.

It shows a bit of forming, fitting to bucks, talks about the time it takes..

Did you notice the Eckold Craftformer in the background? Wonder what they use that for.

prolly something not for the camera it might harm the skilled hand crafted mystique by mistake. I say that jokingly because as we all know, there is nothing like having a power tool to do the wrong thing reallly fast.
REAL craftsmen would make their own aluminum....

I saw another video about this shop, and the Eckolds were used to form the angle profile ribs for the skeleton structure that the skins attatch to, i'll see if I can find the video again.

Default eckolds

that factory appears often in Eckold sales brochures. its great to see super low tech techniques to build hi tech machines
