Tinning butter question ???
I have been enjoying the rare luxury of cleaning my shop and re-organizing my tools into a new (for me) Lista box for the last week or so. I went thru my leading supplies I keep on top of a cabinet and have found a dried up jar of Eastwood tinning butter. Does anyone know if I can just add water to it to revive it ???
Also I have been throwing any swap meet lead paddles I have found up there for 15 years or more. It looked like there was a pile of dirty kindling wood up there but when I took them down even I was surprised how many. I thought some of you might enjoy a photo of them . ~ John Buchtenkirch DSC00051.JPG DSC00050.JPG |

ohhhh, lead, right now the sight of it disgusts me. I had some tinning issues installing quarters on a 67 Mustang and leading the seam on the sail panel. OH! the joy i was having
Anyway, to answer your question, yes water will revive the dried up butter, I was doing this to stretch the last can I had before the new one showed up. Quite a paddle collection you have there John. For me, it isnt a problem of finding making or modyfing a paddle, its that I want a vixen file of a certian size shape radius curve that always annoys me. and no, no need to show off your collection and make me even more envious Marty

Dave, that is great looking work!
John, I don't think that I've ever noticed anyone that had their own firehose in their shop. How big is that space? |
