I make a set. I must not damage the motorcycle. I have a protective foil glued to the frame. Soft copper wire 3 rods x 2.5mm has been proven to shape. I was preparing it with the motorcycle owner - he didn't know what he wanted to make. Now it's clearer. I made other universal tools. For example, for reverse curves. I have been able to completely and reliably shape the reverse curve with different radii on both sides and in cross section. I don't use a mallet and I have a smooth shape.

This is a punishment for my experiments. I made it unnecessarily complicated.

Perhaps I'm nearing completion.

Default Edge alignment.

Edge alignment. I was wrong when I was making it. The edge of the cover was have a tooths. I made a curved reverse collar. I drew a line according the frame and attached. The collar extends beyond the frame and inaccuracies are covered.
The collar extends the complet reverse curve of cover.

I managed to extend, the reverse edge. I'll send better photos. Creating details is it the most time.

Very cool. I like that a lot. The shapes you created are very well composed and complementary to the original shapes present.

VRods are awesome engines to ride. The StreetRod has better footpeg arrangements and are much more comfortable. Riding a StreetRod is a completely different & better experience imho. The regular VRod models are much less comfortable, even on short rides. the readily available aftermarket footpeg relocation kits help, but do not fix the problem.

I've wanted to build a VR1000 themed VRod ever since I watched HD debut their new VR1000 factory race bikes at the 1994 Daytona 200- even though they didn't win... Maybe someday.
