Kerry - this is an update on the brakes. Without power assist the brakes stopped well around town but a full on panic stop required a lot of pedal pressure. I found some 7" diameter remote mounted brake boosters (VH44) that were OEM on some Australian cars that were small enough to mount in the car. I didn't want to clutter up the engine compartment so I mounted them in front of the front tires under the headlights in the fender well. I needed one for each brake circuit (dual master cylinders) the front booster is on the right and the rear is on the left side. I made a vacuum manifold out of 1 1/2" tubing that plumbs vacuum to both boosters and provides some reserve vacuum for multiple stops. The brakes are now phenomenal and require much less pedal pressure to lock the wheels. With the sticky wide tires you generate a lot of stopping G's before the wheels lock.
