Old Shovel Head
This is what I been playing around with all day yesterday, today I made the bowl for the head so he could wear a do-rag
Like an idiot I kept welding even after I knew I had a problem with the cover gas so I'm having to weld over welds to try and make them look good. This is my first attempt at something like this so I hope the next one is better. Gotta find something to make his arms out of. old shovelhead.jpg Made him a peg leg pegleg.jpg hair.jpg Last edited by Charley Davidson; 03-24-2010 at 07:06 PM. |

Thanks guys, it's fun and some practice with my welder. It's harder than I thought and you need to be patient making sure you find just the right parts to make the right body parts.
I have one hand made and the idea for the other just waiting to find the right pieces for his arms. Then I can start cleaning up some of the goober welds and paint him. |

I finished welding him (rewelding) yesterday and handed him over to a friend to paint. I donated him to a very good cause for them to auction off this coming Saturday.
I was so embarrassed as I had handed him over a few days ago just to see he had broke. The chain I used for his spine was coated with something so I had to turn the little Millermatic all the way up and redo him. He went from "Old Shovel Head" to "Broke Back Biker" I'll post the final picture of him soon as she's done painting and let you know how much he sold for. Old Shovelhead 2.jpg |
