Glad you liked, Richard, the man interested me as well...on one pic, thereīs a some sort of nose, I donīt know where it belongs. But are those welding joints that are shown there?

If so, the HAZ is incredible even...just as on David G welding joint

Allthough I donīt regognize all those carīs , that are in the picīs ...

Thanks for the post. in one picture there is a vertical tool with a roller on it in a bowl shaped lower. Was it used to roll form a dished part?

I believe that is one of the exceptionally rare 'Roll-a-Ball' (I think that is the name) shaping machines. Tim Barton posted some photos of that is perhaps that very machine in one of his books. California Metal Shaping owned one and it still exists.

That looks like the roll-a-ball at CalMetal, but when in use during Red's days there. Not many of those around these days, but metal men during the times after WW2 sure heard about them or used them. Good thing Barton got the tip about them or they never would have been recorded for history in his Anthologies.

Why not tell that Stabbin Cabbin guy to number the images so we can refer to them. I know a few, as likely does JB. That way we can add our own tidbits to the story. I knew Red too.
