Default Central Wisconsin Mini Meet?????

I am thinking about hosting a mini meet, any interest? Our shop is dead center of Wisconsin. You can google Pittsville Wi to see where we are.

John,

I'll be there if I possibly can. Give us a date so I can check my calendar.

I do not want to interfere with Dan's spring meet or Steve's fall meet. We have 2 shops we can work in and are pretty flexible. Our third shop is a Blacksmith shop (Smithy) and is enclosed except on one side so nicer wether would be better if anyone is interested in smithing. What would work for most people? Throw me some dates and we can plan one when we can the most attendance.

Also give me some ideas as to what you would like to do, see, try etc. We have bead rollers, english wheels, hand tools, pullmax, lathes, milling machines, welders of all sorts and more.

As of now we are looking at sometime in July. What we would like is a one day event, keeping it more of an open house. Also an opportunity to welcome and meet the new guys here on the forum, some of you are not too far away from our shop. We would not have any formal classes but Q & A sessions and demonstrations as the topics arise. You are welcome and encouraged to bring a project to work on or stuff to practice with.

I know summers are busy and there are only so many events one can attend. Dan and Steve's meets are awesome and I would highly recommend attending both. Our meet would be a good "get your feet wet" if you haven't attended an event before.

Any input is appreciated.

Default July 15, 2017

We have looked at our schedules here and decided we will host the Mini-Meet on July 15th, 2017.

Our goal is to have an open house and very casual question & answer type get together. We have no specific agenda so if there are topics someone would like to address please feel free to bring it up. Again, projects are welcome and encouraged as they make great discussion starters.
