Default Cass Nawrocki's new book is out!

Just had a call from Cass Nawrocki telling me his second edition of his out of print book is now ready for shipping.

Quote:
Any Impossibility in Shaping Metal" by Cass Nawrocki

2nd edition, upgraded and augmented, with illustrations in color!

The book presents an ultimate quintessence of the lifetime experience of a craftsman, who contributed many innovations to the art of metal fabrication and advanced it to the highest quality standards. An array of customers and visitors, who became firsthand familiar with the author and his shop, admired his skills and ingenuity. They repeatedly told: you should pass it on. Their request was the source of inspiration for this book.

The book (293 pp., format 8.5x11") describes real jobs, including Mercedes 540K Special Roadster, 1932 Lincoln, Lamborghini Miura, and reveals how they were done step-by-step. The text and illustrations are informative, educational and inspirational. Readers discover what it takes to make parts or a complete car body while adhering to the highest quality standards. Ultimately, the book will help you to gain confidence that anything could become possible in metal fabrication with the same amount of equipment if you only know how to make or add special tooling, dies or extensions.

The second edition contains new text and new illustrations, which were not available in the first edition. A description of several new machines was added to Chapter 2. Chapter 3 was reworked to provide an explanation of shapes and contours. Chapter 4 has been enhanced with more information about size of rollers, pumping and directions of stretching. Additional examples illustrated the thesis that for every action there was equal reaction. Shaping reverse curved panels was highlighted in Chapter 8. New job examples were added to Part 2, like Mercedes frame, gas tank, rumble seat and channels. A list of special tools in Chapter 47 has been also expanded.
Those that are interested can click on this page for ordering details. I have no connection to the sales but have my book ordered. I don't know how many were printed but those who remember how quickly the first edition sold out would be well served to not wait until they are all gone.
