They are numbered 1-100, but I'm not sure if that is traditional or not. Chris's e-mail is:

crusch@rmdbenders.com

Most sweep sets I've seen are much more expensive than what RMD is offering. BTW, these are US made and an RMD product.

I'm sure they are first class but given the price of 3 sheets of .125 (I assume that's what he used??) aluminum and some water-jet time, that seems pretty steep. A guy in Il, made 10 sets of 50 - 36" long a couple years ago for $120 iirc. They were made from 16 ga galvanized steel. I am very pleased with my set but I don't think he's making any more.

it seems to be the cheapest sweep set option yet honestly. the only thing unattractive to me is the fact that they are different radius on the inside and out. I'd prefer the same radius on both sides of the sweep.

I have made sweep sets .5 to 100. The sizes are .5 to 28 are 36" 29 to 60 are 30" and 62 to 100 are 15"long. Made from 14ga steel powder coated Semi Gloss Black. Each one has the number cut in them. One side is concaved the other side is convex. I am making a wall mounted rack for them I hope to have the rack done next month. I have about 8 sets of the sweeps done now. There is 85 pcs in the set all cut to the radius of the originals sets. I plan on selling them for $995.00. PM me if interested

Three years ago I developed a system to duplicate the curves of a panel.
I never was sure that the panel was made with what sweep. I guess you could go by trying till you get a close fit. But it would be just that, a close fit.
I developed a set of gauges to be used to match the curve exactly. Using the gauge setting I am able to duplicate any arc. The system works for concave and convex arcs.
The resulting sweep is cut into tempered Masonite 1/8" thick at a cost of about 11 cents. The router bit I use is capable of cutting aluminum also. The templets can be assembled into a buck arrangement or can be used as a guide to cut the arc into thicker material.
I make sweeps in three lengths to accommodate the size of the panel being worked on. The sweeps can be attached to one another to accommodate panels that change radius, like the way the door of a model a or other panels change radius. Generally a long radius followed by a shorter radius. I have found that a sweep of less than 30" works best for me . But if I need one longer I just join two together to get the exact length I need.

We should consider doing a group build on sweeps? We could get the cost down on them with the group.
