Getting closer to actually begin cutting wood for the body and getting the metal pieces cut on the water jet to start on the chassis.

Just an update showing the proposed method of assembling the chassis, now that the detail drawings are complete for the chassis components. Jim has already built the table and these are proposed ideas for assembly of the chassis components. The first step will be to assemble the frame components with the frame rails flush with the table top and then raise up 5" to facilitate the assembly of the remaining chassis components. Body mounts and wood components are the next step.

Radiator buck
Finally getting some of the wood working portion of making the radiator buck for the T57 Stelvio. Once the frame has been made this radiator buck will be the first thing that will be installed. When Scott White scanned the Jim Hery Bugatti project body, the radiator cap was clearly visible. When we started to scan the frame after the bod was removed I asked Scott to make sure that the radiator cap was scanned as well. The body and frame could be superimposed over each other to maintain the correct positioning of the two major components and align them with each other. Yet to be completed are some of the sheet metal mounting brackets and radiator shell mounting tabs. Shown in the last picture is Jimmy Matthews who was not only kind enough to allow us to use his shop, he did most of the work as well.
Jimmy was the purchaser of the first of the Peter Tommasini wheeling machines that are being imported, and is instrumental in unloading the large shipping crates upon their arrival and has graciously offered his shop and assistance in the building of the crates and pallets for shipping here within the US. He is getting ready to restore two vintage cars and is quickly becoming an integral part of this metal shaping community. Thanks, Jimmy!

Finally got the parts back from the water jet guy and had the forming done as well. Materials and parts for the fixtures for the assembly table are about 90% completed. probably try to get come assembled during the Redneck Roundup.

Will you've blown me away with what you get out of S/W, I've tried and failed with several modelling packages, you certainly make a good team. Jim with his vision and wealth of experience and you with the ability to drive the various packages and number crunching, plus the army of willing talented guys.
Watching with great admiration, thanks for sharing the updates.
