Well, I guess pointing out he's twice as good because he's using twice as much equipment at the same time as normal people probably misses the point.... He's good.
Nothing like production work- knowing the exact set-up and getting lots of practice doing the same thing all day long- to get good at what you do. I wonder how many feet of those welds he does in an average day. That's a very cool video.

I think that job must be paying two paychecks.
Looks like dual shield. Using two arcs to weld at the same time is helpful in avoiding distortion - when they are on opposite sides of the plate. This was used on armor plate in WW2, on battleships. Due to the gap between the armor being only 12 inches or so, they found small welders to insert down in the gaps to weld the root sides. These little people took off their clothes, got greased up real good, and were inserted to make the welds. Joe Young told me this from his days as a Navy Welder in WW2.

I'd opt for a Cobramatic for the original YouTube project

tig on Ti
Weld, Ti, scraps.jpg
This is just tig on titanium, for Schilling Robotics. Done by their Lead welder, for practice. P1090297 c.jpg This is a Schilling Robotics weld test, for getting the job welding the deep-sea power arms, on 1/4" Titanium. This weld passed, first time. So, this young fella earned the job of welding 1/4" Ti a hundred feet at a time, per arm. And duplex stainless. With Zero Defects, per company specs. When you do a job 8-12 hours a shift, 5-6 days a week, you'd better get damned good - or find something else to pass your time doing ! There are a lot of damned fine welders out there. Might as well check out "weldporn.com" ...

Beautiful welding for sure especially on the suspension parts. Having said that I’m still more impressed by the Rod Doctor welding the entire length of that 46 Buick door skin in under 3 minutes with absolute minimal warpage. I will never be that good…….. my eyes are going South & leaving me behind. ~ John Buchtenkirch

Not weld porn by any means but it's some tedious work. 1/8" tube welded to 5/16" tube.
