i think Johny is hinting around that he wants one! LOL
it is a very nice looking hammer... if it dont work too well on the metal shaping aspect, then it surely would make a very nice wall art! good job... |

Am I reading this right, 3/4" solid handle? I considered 3/4 solid aluminum rod for my hammer, but the wooden handles really do feel nice in your hand. Kind of glad now I made that decision. By the way, nice looking hammer you made there. This is the largest hammer I've made and it seemed pretty well balanced to me, but I didn't use it, just hammered my palm a few times. And yes, it hurt! It's right at 12" along the head with the ends mounted and just under 18" long. Made two and gave them both away and I don't have one. I have a few of my first smaller version and the hand made prototype which is falling apart after three or four years of use. But I came up with an idea for an improved version of both sizes with the help of a friend who was checking them out.

Don't worry Shawn. It is the spirit of the thing that matters. Some of us have more toys to play with and better dumpsters to raid at the onset. If I was worried about parity, I would never have "bought" a ticket. I hope Barb got the tools. Chrissy sent them without getting me a tracking number. I wanna see what she does with them. G. |

That's good to hear Gene! I will no doubt be feeding your dumpster with my tools! This Dunce went out to take out the trash a few nights ago and found the package. I had to call Kerry to find out what was going on...Duh!
I said "I'm in" and had not seen the thread since... (ridiculously busy)and completely forgot about the swap! Oh boy, I actually cried when I saw what was in that package though! I was making boxes and lamps, now I am making tools... fast! Gene, (and your Dumpster), my apologies! |

No need to hurry, Barb, get your commissions done.
Tools don't fit in the dumpster. I just get another tool box to hold em. Pate inspired me. G |
