Has anyone heard from Kerry. Some friends of ours from Huntsville just came up to stay with us because their power is out. They said Harvest got hit real hard.

Kerry - I hope you and yours came out OK.

Kerry was with us up here at the Route 56 event in MN.

He arrived late Tuesday, Wednesday happened, and Him and Joe H. left for home Thursday morning.

His family is fine and the house is without power. I am sure he will know ALOT more details than he knew when he left when he gets home.

From what he said, alot of his neighborhood was damaged/destroyed. Certain building were leveled and the ones next to them were fine. I would imagine it depends on the construction.

We got to Kerry's about 2:00 and unloaded the truck. He has no power, some trees down and probably some roof damage from hail. His family is all okay and dealing with the event results. I pack up and left about 3:00 and got home at 10:30. When I left Kerry was hooking up the generator. We bought gas cans, gas, water and some food on the way down. Without power gas is not available. None of the street lights are working so ever stop light is now a four way stop. Take a while to get anywhere. It is going to take a while to get back to normal.

About a mile from his house on hwy 53 was some major damage, building totally destroyed and a subdivision had a lot of heavy damage to some of the houses. They were reporting that 9 people had dies in Harvest, Al. Looks like it is going to be several days before they will get power back.

Dan should be ok. Storms were north of him. Thanks for the offers of help. We are fine. Using wires smartphone. No power till middle of next week. Cells are iffy. Can call out about half the time.
