Great work Mike. I appreciate all the 'hidden but necessary' components that typically aren't shown on builds.

Thank you, Steve! Your tips on the return flanges and details have been very helpful.

Thanks Kerry!

Thanks so much for taking the time to detail the design. The only limitation I see for me with this method is the bend radius of the gasket material but I think it might just work. Thanks again!

Looking good Mike. You know how to eat an elephant? One bite at a time!! Keep pluging along and enjoy the new skills as you learn and use them.

Was in Kenya a few years ago. Was asked if I had ever eaten Elephant. It seems that they offer tourists/aircrew the chance to eat Elephant trunk and then tell you it is real trunk, not the 'other kind'. It seems fake trunk only has one hole down the middle of it. [Think about it, think about it....Yuk!]

These past few days I've been working on the crescent shaped wing. A lot of stretching was done along the leading edge of the upper and lower panels. Getting these heavily worked edges to align and flow is where the work is.

Next step is to hammer form the internal ribs and securing brackets.

Thanks guys for the kind words!

Here's a picture of the inside structure and mounting for the wing. There's an aluminum bar that helps stiffen and provide resistance to twisting. The bar is attached in the center and out near the ends by means of a flanged hat that is riveted to those ribs. The mounting bracket floats lightly thru ribs that secure the wing to the body. This allows me to twist the wing a little (if needed) . That wing will be very prominent and any alignment issues would very noticeable. Also shown is the Gurney flap which will be riveted to the top and separately to the lower panels.
