Hello All
I was looking at another forum in the UK about restoration of classic cars, they put a link onto this site. I have a rusty car! And I will need to do some bodywork. What appeals to me is learning a new skill and hopefully making shaped metal to replace the rust. It is easy to open the cheque-book and get someone else to do it but far more rewarding to do it yourself.I have found this with other projects. I must admit I'm a novice at this but with practice and some determination hope to achieve my final goals. It probably isn't going to be for some time as I will need to get a few tools together, and following researching this forum make a few of my own Anyway that's me! Andrew

I'm glad the link I made caught your curiosity, I do try to pass on this site for those who feel the need to learn how this craft is properly taught. I do admire the have a go restorers, but I wish they would research a bit more before they buy a welder & angle grinder There are so many talented people on here. both present & past, so research through the archives, ask lots of questions & most importantly play with metal, it's more like elastic once you get into it

Welcome Andrew. An Alfa spider is worth the effort. Enjoy the trip of learning new skills.
