Here we go. Beating the crap out of perfectly good metal. Made a template from the glass car and started in on the crown where it rolls over to meet the trunk opening. Lots of shrinking next. Trying to get it all in one piece.............................i hope.

Little farther along. First drape on the car. Having a tough time with my tooling moving this much metal. Moved the car into my other garage to make room for the other car coming home from paint. Also a pic of my garage sale find.Ray

not sure what that upper die is made out of or what type of lower but have you thought of trying it on metal with a roller skate wheel lower and see what happens ,could make some cool door panels in metal if it would work,Randy

I thought of that also. They are brass.
I was going to make a bead roller out of it but the upper wheel is geared faster then the bottom and with different shaft size and re-engineering everything i decided to leave it alone.

Hi Ray,
Always interesting to see what your up to.
Loved your corvette Scarab build.
I Live about 30 miles from Portland (in Woodland)
always checking the forum to see if your going to have the Scarab out some where for a showing. I would love to see it.
