Model T race car TV program
I thought you might like to see this. Its a crap program but these episodes feature the building of a model T race car. It was built by Niel Tucket who is the guy my friends and I go to for model T parts and the Brass body was built by Rod Jolly one of the UKs best coachbuilders in his day, who I worked for for a very short time.
Episode 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNFxrcPuZls 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZknnvUfWgI 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQmRLJkFb04 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pabv3AcfDmc I don't think it has been p[osted on here before. Its presented by Suggs of MADNESS fame. (the band) David

Glad you all enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty cool the first time I watched it so when I came across it on YouTube I thought some of you might enjoy it. At least three of the three hundred plus people liked it
It was a pretty good series spoilt by the silly comments and the presenters getting involved in things they know nothing about but acting like they were experts. I don't get why that woman was driving the car at all, all the silly 'this is so dangerous' commentary, just unnecessary and spoiled what had the potential to be a really good series. David

I remember the series David but didn't see this one. Enjoyable watching but why don't they let the relevant experts describe what is happening? According to the woman Claire, she wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the brass "until a wooden frame or "butt" has been made". Is this an alternative for 'buck'?
Thanks for posting.

Salvage Squad
Thanks for posting the link. Enjoyed that episode and watched all the others. Glad to see a UK programme where they pull important relics from hedgerows and repair them to a nice standard in the time frame.
Anyone got a Scammell Scarab for sale?

Very Cool
David that was an awesome story. Enjoyed the post. Would love to have seen them take it on a real smooth track and open it up. So you worked with mister Jolly. How old were you at that time?
After that ride on that old track I wouldn't be surprised if the frame wasn't twisted again. Gerry in Colorado

I'll watch these tonight if I get a chance. I do remember when Salvage Squad first started and it was quite promising to begin with as they had three people: Claire, Jerry Thurston (Old Glory journo) and chap called Axel. It was quite amusing and entertaining for a while but ended up with all sorts of tantrums, mainly from Jerry, spoiling it. The whole program was very staged and they all displayed very little real knowledge of what they were supposed to be doing and the next time I watched it, Jerry and Axel were gone leaving 'glamorous' Claire at the helm. That's when I stopped watching it to be honest.
