AK, DQ, DDQ, EDQ used to be available from PDM, then Ryerson. Now, maybe Arcelor Mittal ??
or Thomas Register...

Kent thanks for the reply. Learning new nomenclature, I guess AK and SK are now a thing of the past as far as identifying low carbon ductile steel? It's DS, DS Type B, DSB, DDS EDDS. I have purchased from Ryerson before, long ago but no luck around here southern Missouri. Just emailed Majestic Steel, they have a branch in Tulsa about 3.5 hours west of us. I need to pick it up lest it shows up bent and damaged. So that is where I am at. I will post the results. Jon

There is a guy who came to Dutch Comstock's event that worked somewhere that used DQ. He used to bring drops to the event. I can't think of his name of the top of my head but Dutch/Marty would have it and a phone number too.

Rim steel begat Draw Quality, begat Draw Steel.
PDM carried rim steel in the early 1970's.
