Default Bead roller slippage

A while ago I saw some pics (maybe Jim B gallery) that showed a spray to help stop the bead roller slipping on the panel.
Not sure if it was an office spray glue or similar
Anyone remember what it is or any suggestions?
i need more grip and dont wat to tighten the rolls to mutch
regards
Dave

Tell us a little more about what you are doing and the setup you are using. Pictures would also help.

Also when i put the false wire edge using the bead roller I have some slippage and was looking to try some of the spray tacky stuff i saw. i will look through the albums again and see if i can get some more info. i will run it later in the week and get some pics to share.

I have never heard of anyone using a tacky substance to stop the rolls from slipping. You said you were using a bead roller then you said fender roller. Do you have a picture of what you are doing. Are the rolls slipping on the metal or the shafts? I am not understanding your problem.

Anything sticky that you put on to the rollers will have to come off - either on your panels, on you or on another part of the machine.

The 3M or Permatex spray adhesive should work. Belt dressing is another option. Either one will end up being a gooey, sticky mess that needs to be removed.

My first advice would be less pressure. If that don't work, more pressure. Never had enough trouble with slipping to end up needing sticky stuff. That's one of the reasons I have a 1/15 (or something like that) hp motor on my bead roller. If I crank it down to much, it just doesn't run and that let's me know I need to back off a bit and just make an extra pass.
