Sure picked a good one to set the high bar with ....... might as well start at the deep end of the pool.

Thanks guys!!!
With my kids home for the Summer wasn’t able to get up to the project, but had plenty of time to plan!!! At the Memorial Day juncture I had just gotten the roof on the driver’s side panels mocked up, but was somewhat getting frustrated that I didn’t have an anchor point to start pulling it all together. A Summer’s thinking time lead to the decision to step back and spend the fall building the chassis and the .75” tubing superleggera structure for the panels and then go from there. Given the 750hp BMW S65 supercharged drivetrain, I am going with a fully caged 1.75” DOM tubular chassis. Started bending it up and September weekends have gotten me this far on the cockpit.--I

Started building the back cage to hold the M3 5 link subframe and accommodate an off the shelf 15 gallon Fuelsafe fuel cell, separate surge tank, pumps and fuel filter as well as lithium battery, and oil cooler. Lots left on it to do, but here are pics of where I got, hope to finish the rear this coming weekend so I can move on to the front. Was super stressful getting all those bends to lay out in one piece, but somehow my indexing held up to the challenge -- regards -I

Definitely tricky group of bends. Building it to fit your needs and retain the style is what us hot rodders do. Cool project!!!!!

Wray Schelin's shop sure looks busy with all those Jaguars! I gave Wray a disc of Type 57 ATLANTIC photos (couple of hundred) a few months back to give to you. Did you get those?

Weekend progress:
The intent is a bolt-in of the M3 subframe straight in like v1.0, with 13" wheels and serious 335 rubber again. Plenty of triangulation to go! Definitely building a hot rod:
