Default Bryan From San Diego

I got into car restoration about 3 years ago with a 61' Lincoln convertable and then with a 52' Hudson Hornet coupe. I originally had no intent of doing the restoration myself. Then, after wasting 10's of thousands on mechanics and restoration houses and then having 2 near death experiences from shoddy work, I decided the only way I will get what I want is to do it myself.

So over the last couple years, I am learning everything I can about all the pieces of restoration. Many of the body sheet metal pieces are difficult to find in perfect condition for the Hudson and the only way to repair is to fabricate. Thus, here I am learning these skills.

Thanks much in advance,
Bryan

Thanks for the welcome.
I actually live in Valley Center, north east of Escondido. I usually just list San Diego, since I expect no one outside of southern California has heard of Valley Center.
