Man alive, Jim- You didn't say there would be possums there. If my wife finds out, I'll have to bring her and her possums too.

I'm coming, alone or otherwise....

Edit. Uh-oh,, the proverbial pointy cat is outta the bag...

I just noticed that I had entered the wrong date in the title. The event in August 22-24 not October. If you've made plans, check and be sure you used the correct dates.

This is the formal announcement of the 'revised' Redneck Roundup. It has a new date and a new location. It is being held on August 22,23 and 24th at 2260 Polly Adams Road 37019 in Belfast, Tenn, about a half hour south of Nashville. Belfast is East of Lewisburg, Tenn which is just East of I-65

Many similarities to the previous location will still be evident. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver and wear a name tag. No fee is required to attend, but an 'appreciation donation' will be suggested to cover Jims event costs & expenditures. There will be door prizes each day and we are preparing to host a tool exchange as well. (A hand built tool valued from $25-$50).

Due to the extent of high end cars on sight and the allotted shop space for this event, we would like to limit the attendance to about 50 folks. Below is a list of attendees based on past attendance to the Redneck Roundups and Jim's local invitees. This list is flexible as some may not fit it into their schedule and others may ask for a spot on the waiting list as they become available.

If you are able to provide any door prizes, please advise or bring when you come over. We plan on dividing them up and passing out in equal amounts on each of the three days.

Jim has set aside a separate room so that if you are interested in presenting a seminar, or something similar, it will be reasonably quiet.

Please advise me at your earliest convenience, if you are either unable to attend or wish to confirm your ability to attend, as an accurate head count is helpful for food preparations. Don't be bashful about asking for a spot. Currently there are plans for Mike Yurko and Dan Pate to cook breakfast and lunch and one of Jims employees has volunteered to cook suppers each of the three days.

Default Metal Shaping class at Redneck Roundup Belfast TN

I have been invited to teach a 3 day class in Belfast TN August 26th-28th at the shop of Jim Hery.

I will be teaching metal shaping techniques for the beginner to the advanced student using Jim's well equipped shop, using some of his wooden bucks to fit the fabricated panels to. The class will focus on hand tools, using the English wheel, power hammers and many metal shaping tips and tricks using the road map I teach to accomplishing a finished panel.
If you are interested in signing up for this class, you can email me me at: kingdommetalworks@gmail.com or call me at (310) 947-1120 for information on how to register. The cost is $650.00 for the 3 day class running each day from 9:00 am- 5:00pm.

Hope to see you there!

Hey everyone I am a little late to the party, but I am very excited for the Event and I will be teaching a class the weekend before the event August 16,17,18, 19th! The class will be a supercharged version of my pattern and panel development class. We will cover all the pattern work for the project and the how and why of pattern and what they tell us.

We will be shaping a part from flat sheet to finished panel, in the class we will also make any special tooling needed for the project. This is a great class to open yourself up to making your own tooling and fixtures as anything we make to get through the project will be made with simple stuff no cnc shenanigans.

Through the whole class we will be using the English Wheel, and hand tools and we will compare the results of the hand tool methods to some of the large power equipment Jim has in his shop. We will have a variety of things to work on so if your just getting started with metalshaping DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED and if you have been into it for a while I put together something more challenging for you. This is the reason class sizes are small!

Cost for this class will be $700 per person with a maximum of 6 people. Lunch refreshments and all materials will be provided each day. If you have any questions or would like to sign up for this class shoot me a email customridesbuiltmine@yahoo.com or just give me a call at the shop 1402 462 8581 thanks everyone and have a great day!!

Will & Jim
I am sorry to say that I am not able to make the redneck round up this year. Just too many things to get completed here at home. Maybe next year.
Always a good time with a great group of shapers, I will miss seeing everyone.
Steve
