thanks pugsy
i made an error (rather i fock3d up) fitting the front piece so i started again with it, been hammering away today doing it old school first pass blocking one way then turn over and block the other after some time blocking and chasing in the lines with an old hammer shaft ground down to a wedge shape, it gets closer now i need to start planishing with a hammer and dolly, sharpening up the lines and moving them to where they should be. thanks for watching

Neil
How about spot weld an right angle on the outer flange ....use it as a guide and run that trough the die now it would save you a lot of work Peter

i thought if i did it by hand i would not make the same mistake as last time due to the effort needed to make it lol, that way of thinking has worked for me before i think of you hammering in the door opening on that monaro 1/4 and think, i'm sure i can do this bit lol
