Default Welding aluminium

Yes I agree with most of that Andy, however I find small circular motion works for me,also I normally dress my welds after removing flux with hot water because a lot of the time i will not need to file it also it work hardens the weld and the surrounding material ,this helps when making large panels.
But at the end of the day it is all down to if it works for you then do what works .
I have been welding aluminium for about 40 years and I was taught by a 70 year old and I would think things have changed over the years, but I am to old to try new things now,and if you say to anyone that you only weld aluminium with gas they look at you as if you are mad,but I have tried tig a few years ago and yes it it welds aluminium sheet but the weld it to hard
