For what it's worth... the Bodywork Restoration Tutorial DVD is excellent. The editing is very good, meaning most of the content is information, not just watching someone weld or planish. Very inspiring for those of us few tools, especially the parts about forming beads/swages. I have quite a few metal shaping DVDs and this one is the best put together and most informative. Hopefully there will be more titles in the future...?

Thanks 'Hammers' ( you have not put your real first name) and Barry for your comments, I am glad to Know you liked it. As for future DVDs I spent five years trying to do this one in my spare time, but I am sure I would not have so many problems with the next, I would like to- but it depends on many factors. This is a real niche market.

Default Repaired Panel

David,

I've watched your DVD about 20 times. Every time I watch the section on making the lower repair panel for the rear quarter, I wonder if that is for a car actually being restored or if it was purely for demonstration purposes only and not going to be used.

Just ordered your DVD a couple days ago. I am very excited. Thanks to Her Majesty's postal service I am sure I will receive it promptly. Seriously you guys have the best public mail system on the planet. Puts us 'colonials' to shame.

Jamey twenty times! you must know it off by heart by now!.
The rear quarter is from a late 1950s English Ford. I have it as a pattern, I make around fifty different panels for these cars. (hundreds every year) I have had this panel for about 25 years or so.

Sean,
Our post is not so good at the moment, we have had postal strikes! With luck you will have the DVD by now or if not very soon. I hope you find it informative and that you enjoy it.

David

Hi Chris,
It took me five years to make the first one!. I had every possible problem while doing it. I have done a small amount of filming for the next one but dont hold your breath. It should not take anything like as long as the first one though.
I have had only good responses to the dvd so I am very happy that everyone liked it so much. Thanks for your post.

David

From the time David mailed until it was at my house was about 5 business days. Only had 1 chance to watch it so far. Great Video!! Packed with information and everything is well explained. Put me down on the waiting list for the second one.
