Im lucky to have met this man around ten years back and can jus agree that it is very sad to not be abel to pass over the skills..
Carlo is a man who like alot of other shapers mostly like to be alone in the shop, and Im pretty much of the same type. I got questions time to time from guys who would like to be here as a trainee but ...I like to turn up the music and focus deep at my task, not much of a good instructor when Im into my stuff...or what do you say Dan Wingnut Anyway, its sad, but I think there are not to many out there who are ready to work day and night for less than a Mc Donalds employee for a couple of years before it hopefully pays better, I think that it need to be a real passion for handwork involved, and that are rare.. Very very nice video! |

I met him at a friends " get togheter" just outside Venezia, Italy.
There was also a " coachbuilder" from Switzerland there, cant remember the name.. Back at this time I was deep involved in Fiat 500 and specially the Topolino model. Restored many of them and did alot of trips down there to search for cars and parts. My wife lived in Italy for a couple of years and we visit alot of friends there regulary, car related and " normal" aswell Have you met him Ben? Im sure he have been at both Essen and Bremen shows?
