The base plate is 6mm (quarter inch) so that gives you an idea of the size. I guess the car itself is about seven inches long.

Here are a couple more photos...

The wishbones were made from a couple of cheap 6mm spanners. wheels started out as washers and wheelnuts. Front axle is a bit of 1/4 rod hammered flat then I ground the detail with a 4" grinder, some with the detail on the engine and tyres.

Great work. Man I love scratch built scale models. Just the right amount of detail. A trophy would not hold the sentimental value this will always keep.

That is so cool, car clubs should be looking for more of the personal touch style trophies rather than the standard buy or over the counter issues.

Nice work I might have to pinch the idea only after I get some skill.
