Default James Bowler

James Bowler has been around the metalshaping community at least as long as I have. At the first MetalMeet under the tent in 2002, he had a full sized wooden buck for a Ferrari that he scratch built. At the time, he had a shop in Richmond VA doing race car fab and restoration and whatever else made it in the door.

He's been a member here for years and, while he doesn't post much, checks in pretty frequently.

Last year he posted some of his equipment for sale.

Today, I was flipping through channels and I did a double take as I flipped through one of these hot rod shows. That guy looks like James Bowler, I thought. Sure enough it is! James is working at Fantomworks in Norfolk VA. I typically don't watch these car shows because of all the drama and BS. Fantomworks is an exception. No yelling and screaming and no BS deadlines.

On my cable, it is on the MotorTrend network (MDHD) and new episodes air at 9CST on Wednesday.

I did not. I only know Kyle from the site. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.

Thanks for posting Kerry, I was wondering about James, good to hear he's doing well.

I follow Kyle on Instagram and he has a really nice shop now with some interesting projects going on. Definitely a rising star.
