Window Garnish Trim
I would be interested in hearing any suggestion on making (from scratch) window garnish mouldings, I have taken a swing at hammerforming , and these are pics of some I rolled in bead roller. I'm at a bit of a loss on whether it should be convex or concave, screwed to door frame or clipped, (there are square holes in door frame to hold OEM garnish) and making it work with respect to the upholsterer.

Well, this is the wrong forum in which to suggest it, but I would do those in wood!
Nice car, by the way, what is it? |

The black one is a 1947 Standard Flying 8 off the internet, it's just for reference. The one I'm working on has slight mods.

moldings
Skip
I've made a few sets of moldings in the past and I have a set to do in a couple of weeks. It looks like you have a good start with what I can see in the pictures. Are they made from ali? It looks like all you need to do is roll the edge back down against the trim panel. This can be done over an a T stake that has the correct radius. These will be a lot nicer then the plastic ones. They look great like they are. All that's left is turning the edge down. You can do it with a bead roller or a T dolly. Nice job, and show us more pics when your done!

Welcome to the forum, Skip.
I agree with the two posts above, you have a great start, just tip the edge down some. But I would add: talk to your upholster first, see how tight against the door inner he wants the outer edge of your garnish to be.
