Default Harbor Freight Bead Roller

While I'd love to have a name-brand bead roller, along with tipping and radius dies, all we could afford was the HF roller. I've seen several mod pages for it, and have a few ideas how to strengthen it up.

Does anyone make radius dies for the HF roller? Or tipping dies? Can someone make some? If so, how much?

Hoosier Pattern used to make tipping wheels for the HF roller. You might want to give them a call (info should be in the resources list).

I just made one from a bushing, a fender washer, and some JB weld to hold it together. The soft wheel on the bottom was cut from a rubber coated shaft. Looks like it was from some sort of conveyor.

Haha, that set of tipping wheels cost almost as much as the bead roller itself! I think I am gonna try to see if I can make one rather than buy them! This is not a cheap hobby lol!

Don't have a picture right now, but you can get a set screw collar at Tractor Supply and weld a big washer to it and make your own. I made one years ago and use it several times a week. You can use a skateboard wheel for the lower or I find that one of the flats on a flangeing wheel works fine.
