Another patch done, I am gonna try to planish the low spot (weld seem)to try and bring it up. Is there way to keep it from shrinking so much when I weld it? Maybe move my cut line closer to the edge?

Eric, Definitely don't weld closer to the edge as trying to stretch the corner will be harder and you will have work 2 sides rather than 1. You will never get that smooth straight line, without lots of work. Were you have welded it is good, as its much easier to stretch that weld bead.

It's not cheap oldnek, part of the Dupont /Axalta range of high solid paints.
I've used Dupont systems for the last 25 years never had one come back from a paint failure. http://www.axaltacs.com/ca/en_CA/pro...ngs/imron.html

I did one in BRE colours in Brissy. I sold it 12 months ago. I just wasn't getting any satisfaction from it anymore. I find I am getting satisfaction from building stuff now. And I know the car is in good hands (better hands than mine lol).
I did a similar repair to my sills. I purchased a new 2+2 sill, trimmed it and added the dog leg from scraps. At the time I didn't have any skills. these days I would just make a new panel from scratch. image1a.jpg image1e.jpg P1070335.JPG
