New Guy from Canada
Well lm on Metalmeet and a few other forums but lm just learning to work with metal and doing the metal shaping thing. lve been in to cars all my life so l like to play around with this kind of stuff.
Well lve had a lot of cars from VW,Muscle cars,Hot Rods ,to a couple of mild kustoms and bikes. Right now a have a couple of projects on the go, to a couple of rides l can roll in. The ones that lm giving the most attention to right know is the 31 model A ,Done Old School with a early Hemi with a 6/71 on top with A833 4 speed behind it then to a 9'' rearend. Still in need of a few more parts. Such as a good Hemi Block. so if you have an extra let me know which would be greatly appreciated l picked up a 38 Pontiac in Cali it needed alot of work a few years ago. lts been done as an early Harry Westerguard style of Kustom. Which has been chopped 3 1/2 inch's to a Packard Grill,Desoto bumpers, Buick skirts. lve had to put new drive train in. Right now lm redoing all the body work on the old girl Rechopped it redoing all the doors, frontend and fenders because it was all hacked up what a mess.l will post some pictures of the progress later in the forum. It would have been better to start with a fresh car. Also working on the interior. Its been off the road for 2 years now so hopefully this month should have it back on. Don't worry the car will be done right and its staying FLAT. l usually roll in a little 27 Ford Roadster pickup. Most of the truck has been made up of a bunch of piece's that where kicking around. lt sports a 350 turbo 350 combo with a M/T Cross Ram spit, with 4 Holley 94s on top. The Chassi is boxed Model A frame with a 55 chev rear end and a 39 Ford front end. Here's a couple of pictures of my 49 Anglia.lve had it for about 8 yrs lts going to be a street/racecar. lt has a cromemolly chassis, the car which will be legal to go 6:50 in the 1/4 but lm not. Plus the wheel base is to short and l don't want to go that fast in a little car like this any ways. The car will have a BBC with a turbo 400 4" exhaust through the inside of the car and right out the back with the FlowMaster and fuel tank and batteries in the trunk. With a set of 14x32 rear tires on the back. Heres my 38 Plymouth Slantback lm the 3rd owner, the old guy that l got it off marked everything in a book like how much gas he put in it, to every part for 60 some years. The car still boast the original interior and the paint is over 50 years old.lve done a bit of work to her fixed the drive train, lowered it with 4 inch lowering blocks in the rear and taking 8 leafs out on each side on the front and installed shorter gas shock to compensate for the vehicles ride height. This was when l first got the car. This now. lf you want to view some more pictures of some of my other rides you can view them here... There is over 2600 photos here from some of the local shows around BC, and Northern Washington. http://photobucket.com/albums/v162/LORYDER/ |

Welcome Rick,
You have quite a few projects on the go there!. I like them all. I once turned an 'Anglia' into a coupe many years ago 'cos we don't have coupes over here and at the time it was less easy to import stuff and me and my friends could not afford to anyway. David David
